Real Estate

Spragins, Barnett & Cobb represents financial institutions, mortgage companies, real estate brokers, developers and individuals in the sale, purchase, leasing, financing and development of real estate. Whether drafting complex legal documents, representing a client's interest before a zoning board hearing or preparing for a residential settlement, our attorneys pay the attention to detail that is the essence of real estate practice.

Spragins, Barnett & Cobb has provided title insurance for thousands of individual and commercial clients. Real estate settlements and closings for which we provide the title insurance are always conducted by an attorney who is available to provide timely legal advice. Our in-house support staff of trained paralegals performs title searches throughout West Tennessee and coordinates the various aspects of the clients settlement, alleviating much of the burden on the client at a stressful time. We have attorneys who are licensed title insurance agents. The title insurance itself is provided by the firm, through several title insurance companies, so that transactions proceed without disruption caused by reliance on an outside agency.

In addition to transaction work, we represent clients in mortgage foreclosures, actions for ejectment, and various matters related to real estate practice.
