Biography

 

Nicholas B. Latimer joined Spragins, Barnett and Cobb in 2015 as an associate and became a partner in the firm in 2022. He concentrates his practice in real estate, banking, bankruptcy, creditor rights, business organizations, commercial transactions and municipal law.

Mr. Latimer received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in Business Management in 2008. Mr. Latimer also received his Master of Business Administration, magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2010. Mr. Latimer received his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2012, graduating cum laude. During law school, Mr. Latimer received the CALI Award for Excellence in Debtor-Creditor Law, the Law Review Award for Excellence in Legal Writing and the Dean's Award for Excellence, Best Memorandum, Legal Methods I. He also served as a legal extern to the Honorable David S. Kennedy, Chief United States Bankruptcy Judge of the Western District of Tennessee. He is a Jackson native and currently resides in Jackson with his wife, Kelly Latimer.
