Biography

Mr. Spore is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1981, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Education. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1991 from the University of Memphis (formerly Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law). He was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Tennessee in 1991 and all lower trial and appellate courts. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee and the United States District Court for the Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee and has represented clients in bankruptcy cases in the New York, Ohio, Mississippi and North Carolina.

Mr. Spore has previously served as the County Attorney for Chester County, Tennessee and City Attorney for the City of Medina, Tennessee. He currently serves as the City Attorney for the City of Henderson, Tennessee. He also is an associate City Attorney for the City of Jackson, Tennessee. Mr. Spore is a former Municipal Court Judge in Medina, Tennessee. Mr. Spore is a member of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Tennessee Liaison Committee and has served on the Tennessee Bar Association- Bankruptcy Section Executive Board of Directors. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association and is a Fellow with the Tennessee Bar Foundation.

Mr. Spore represents creditors in bankruptcy, creditors rights, foreclosures, and loan workouts. He represents clients and closes on a wide range of commercial real estate, banking and financing transactions. He is counsel to the Jackson Downtown Revenue Finance Corporation, the Industrial Development Board for the City of Henderson, Tennessee, the Industrial Development Board of Henderson County, Tennessee and the Beech River Regional Airport Authority and represents those entities in various economic development and bond financing transactions.
